don't mean nuthin to me. they never made anything that had any serious power anyway. liability, i'm sure. there goin against the american way. speed, power, noise, you know. aside that if they did we wouldn't have nuthin to monsterize up. thats half the fun for me. they can detune all they want. theres always gonna be someone or someway to go around that crap and get some performance, whether it's a saw, car, computer, or a puny willy. well, maybe not the latter, although there are pills now.................

im afraid u mite be rite... at 56 i got 2 good stihls that are what they should be.. a poulan pro.thats doing exactly as i wanted and several other saws ,that i know how to take care of ,adjust and keep running.
so i just wont buy the new stuff. if it dont suit me... it has slowed me dn on selling saws, just because i dont need them rite now tho.
i do see a good possibility that we are at the end of an era...i just hope thats the worst thing we have to worry about.
not doomsayer ,as i believe in appreciating each day as the great gift it is. we got no gurantees, either way.
soapbox mode turned off:)
