New England Rope has a rope listed on their website, claiming that it is stronger than double braid rope of the same size. Sadly, they do not list the breaking strength nor available sizes!
What's up with that?
NEREX2
Product Description:
12-strand single braid of 100% polyester that produces a firm, round braid with significantly higher tensile strengths than double braid polyester ropes of the same diameter. NEREX comes standard with a urethane coating that improves abrasion resistance, permits color coding, and prevents light moisture absorption. Ideal in any application where low stretch and spliceability are key design factors.
Features:
* Easy to Splice
* High Strength
* Very Good Abrasion Resistance
* Class1 12 Strand Splice

I would be interested in this rope if it were truly as strong and durable as double braid, while being easy to splice. Somehow, I don't think it will turn out that way.
Does anyone know anything about this rope?
