I started to sign up but went to the guy's site looking for more info. The picture of The guy on the Ass kind of turned my stomach. Is the site about trees or politics?

Really there is more child awareness than politics i think.

Keslick's site has always been excellent i think; in my list of "Links and Respects" on sight. Lots of stuff like Keslick on Mulch ; then the list of Harder to find Documents is a small goldmine i think.

Politics and religion detract from science and don't belong, but I signed on anyway. I'll just blink when I run across those messages, and keep my eyes on the prize of tree info. Maybe the site will have more than rehashed Shigo. Worth it to look.

Dan, Yes. I'm religous and "political" (strong opinions about ,but thoroughly disgusted with politics). In all honesty I would probably have reacted a LITTLE less to an elephant and Bush /Cheney than to the donkey(s) but neither are really appropriate in my view. It is his site to do as he wishes but the politics set us up with impressions about his intelligence and world view before we get to the info we are seeking. I have the same sort of problem with books- I love to read but slip a historical error into a historical novel and it spoils it for me-I can lose myself in a fiction but it needs to be a credible fiction.

i looked this morning, am a lil'familiar with the site, and looked again now.........

i think the site is safe; guy just has picture of himself(?) being lighthearted with sign and donkey. i really didn't see any religion or politics mentioned, besides this picture.

There are some children concerned links; the rest i see seems to be trees. Good link for a lot of Doc Shigo stuff and then some. Have learned alot there; and found a lot of best links that were scattered; all in one place.

i'z worn out on the politics too; my Lady renting Michael Moore productions etc., finger pointing, lying etc. But all i see is this one picture...
