I ordered one of the new type grinders that Jeff Sikkema is selling, but he is waiting on the boat.

It is called a Maxx out of Italy I believe.

I will be getting one if he decides to take Visa or check. I don't understand the paypal thing. I have not had any pals since I was about 8 years old. Don't need any now, I have cash.

I have been contemplating getting one of these my self looks like a descent unit.
I like the way they tilted the head to make up for the reversible motor.
My pal bought a Sively 510 it is really nice ,
I wish the soft stones were avalable for the small grinders.

PayPal

Hey Tony, PayPal really is a good thing. Just like Mike Maas says, you can send money to anyone with an e-mail address. When you sign up, immediately go through the steps to verify your account which is very simple and takes about three business days, then you can send funds directly from your checking account if that is what you desire. eBaying can be a real PITA if the seller does not accept PayPal and only wants money orders or something similar, now a trip to the bank or a wait while the cashiers check is delivered to you via the mail just adds unnecessary delay. As a seller you can recieve payment instantly any time of day or night, even on weekends and holidays. There is a small fee to the seller from PayPal, similar to using a credit card. I`ve been using it for over a year now with no problems yet.

Glad to see that you are going for one of those grinders, they look good. You will also find that Jeff is a great person to deal with. I`ve had quite a few deals with Jeff and they are always flawless. Russ

I know lots of folks love PayPal, but many people I've talked to have had a terrible time with it. General complaints with service, systems going down, and a few who had their accounts cleaned out.

My wife and I have been using Paypal for about a year and a half and find it very convenient. We've had no problems with it so far. I've heard some horror stories but I don't think they're the norm, just a small precentage of users. I know of a guy that runs a very popular Mac site that had his account cleaned out of about $1200 by a person that figured out his password. I'd never leave that kind of money in there. We leave very little in our account. It's not a bank and it's not insured. Without it eBay and other internet sells would be a pain in the arse. Only time will tell now that eBay owns it. Knock on wood!
Grateful

I am going to call jeff tomarrow and order 2 of them. Look like a nice piece.

You're talking about Low End Mac, right? I've heard of other kinds of problems people have had.

Until I require PayPal, I'm not about to take the risk of become one of the few who get screwed.

Yea it was the lowendmac guy. He was trying to get some real experts to try and track the bum don't electronically, so to speak, I wonder if he ever had any luck? I'm still on several of his list but he hasn't mentioned it lately.
Grateful, for my Macs.
