yes they are ... hooked up to a 6" drop hitch so with a standard 2" drop both axel's will rotate on the road...easier to pull around an turn on a single axel! Are those back wheels slightly off the ground for trailering? Good thinking.
if that's what you are calling the tire savers ? or corner adjusters? or ???? probably after they snap off! lol probably use another piece of heavy angle for that and a base for a jack shaft to speed up or down the alt. set up...You're going to brace up the tree sweeps right?

you my friend are right on the plan ... it's all in the gearing by pully's! I was told that if you run an alt. in reverse it produces 110 ac volts? don't know if this is true or not so need to be cautious !! just going to use a alt/regulator built in internally so not to over charge.I know you gutted the brakes, but did you gut the axle housings? You could run the alternator off the pinion gear easy and use v-belts/sheaves to get the RPM right for spinning it up.
3" x 3" x3/16th full angle iron or another tube of equal size welded to the sweeps and main frame... it wont break! ?View attachment 482126
Your sweeps need to be able to sustain the whole weight and traction of the trailer in order to effectively push the tree out of the way, or the puller around the tree. Make em strong.

!! lol don't plan on driving the allis to fast in reverse to find out a "SHOCKING RESULT" ...... usually only a few feet in reverse to hook up to a easy butt end!The alternator is going to make AC no matter what. The rectifier handles converting that to DC. Unless you're doing highway speeds in reverse, I don't think it's an issue with a one-wire alternator (built in regulator). I could be wrong - never tried spinning one backwards.
Brain teaser my butt. Just need to make the pinion overdrive the alternator with a bigger pulley to speed it up.
