Hey Everyone,
I did a search in regard to boots and most of the threads that popped up were in regard to caulks and logging. For tackling suburbia day in and day out, what do you guys wear:

A. draggin brush?
B. in the tree?

I was looking at the Hoffman Lineman Hikers with steel toe. They're low, but have a dual shank, and supposedly stay a little cooler.

Do most of you guys wear steel toe (I know they're cold in the winter)? Would this boot be suitable for all around arborist work?

Thanks!

looks like a good boot, I have a pair of Red dawg 16 climbing boot I use in the tree during removals, would never buy another again, they are very uncomfortable.
My wife uses these draging brush http://www.hoffmanboots.com/category.aspx?categoryID=33, in fact after I went to the site you posted and seem them at that price I ordered her a pair and one for me too.

I wear steel toe almost always when working, on ground and my climbing boots (for spikes). Maybe not as much if I am just going to to do something quick outback but if I am doing any cutting for any length of time steel toes go on.

Oh yeah this is why

TOO CLOSE FOR ME... was the end of a day of cutting and I was tired, finished a cut and dropped my saw to my side to walk to another log and just grazed the top of my boot with the saw still decelerating, it scared the crap out of me for a second.

I'm going to order a pair of those Hikers in non steel toe myself for ground work.
