Wasn’t sure where to post this, so I decided to post where I’ve read the most. I’m new to the sight, but have lurked for a while. This place is a wealth of information. I just moved into a house that has a fireplace so I’ve been reading quite a bit here about cutting and gathering firewood. I feel fortunate to find a place that I can refer to for great info.

Welcome aboard, lots of good guys, a few jerks... just like any group. If someone says something offensive, don’t sweat it. Get as much knowledge Ya can from the site. And whatever you do, don’t catch CAD! It’s bad...
I'm not that much of a jerk

Cad what's that ? I have 9 saws that run always looking for the next

Yesterday I said I was going to start selling some of my Odd Ball saws. The first one I grabbed off the short shelf is the Stihl 08S my buddy pulled out of a dumpster several years ago. We thought it was locked up, turn out it was just the recoil bound up. Fixed the recoil, put a shot of gas in it and it started up. Kept priming but it wouldn't pick up from the tank. Started looking at the lines, there weren't any. At least no fuel ling from the tank to the carb. Now I don't want to sell it. There is just something cool about a 56CC saw pulling .404 chain. It's like it just sits there and says, "Yeah, Farm Boss, I'm what you could have been!"
