I checked and so far I can get another load of wood for $600. I will jump on it as soon as I finish last years. There is always some other project that needs doing but I will get there. I might even luck out and get a "can" of wood, that is a tri axle load of whatever wood gets chucked aside. Last time it was $300and the driver was surprised by how good it was, the new guy loaded it up and I got a great deal. They don't always have them so I call and bug them.
We pay about $300-$400 a cord of hardwood this year.
That's cut, split, not seasoned and not delivered.
Typical species here are Maple(Sugar), Oak(mainly Red), Ash(White or Green), Elm(Red), Beech, Cherry, and sometimes Hickory, Hornbeam
