Hey all,
Back with another odd find.
Just picked up a great looking Remington 760 super.
At least the paint is still hanging on it, even if not tightly!
I'm hopeful it will run easily.
What's your opinion on this one?
I bought it on looks since it just screams vintage 60's style!
Thanks.

That's what I have found from my searches too!
One cuts down trees and one cuts down from trees!

I own one or two and a Super 660. My first recommendation is to get you some great ear protection. Beyond that they are a very stout, good running saw if every thing is right. One good thing about both saws is they have a Tillotson car. After a second thought, I think some of them may have a Brown carb. If so change it out for a Tillotson. Tom PS At least one of mine came with a roller nose bar. I hope yours did also. You will like it.

Hopefully it has .404” pitch chain. 7/16” is getting to be like rocking horse poop.

The blue one was sold by Wards.

Oregon #10619 is the kit to change it to rim drive.

Then the only problem left is the .058” gauge.

Had a good look tonight.
Everything is in great shape.
P/c perfect, chain, bar, sprocket excellent.
No spark...
Let the games begin!

Had to replace the condenser but it lives!
May need to tear the carb down yet but I hope not.
Needs a little choke to stay running.
Yup, my neighbors will agree, it's a loud one!20180320_163103.jpg

I think it's too pretty to be a he.
You can't see the other side where all the black paint has jumped ship.
As for the carb, it's a carter, I've never seen one like that.
I'm hopeful I can clean it up.
Haven't even pulled the jets out yet.
Sure starts easy though.

Good point.
Not at all complementary to the fairer sex.
I'm at a loss to describe in male attributes those cool 60's lines and colours.
Idea's anyone?
