Poulan 5200 Reman Cylinder Piston Ring Set Great Find | eBay
Any you fellers here happen to buy this 5200 P/C kit that was on the bay awhile back? The reason I ask, is am very curious to how it works out. Its the identical kit I acquired couple months ago to refurb my 5200. Gonna be awhile till I get it finished, spring sometime I hope.
Gregg,
I hate I missed that one, I've been looking for one of those......
my first sandcast saw, Poulan 47, bought from the original owners grandson, been sitting for 15 years and the gas in it looked new and did not have a bad smell to it. this is it tonight when i picked it up. The Smokey Bear scabbord has to be a bonus!!
it has spark and series compression. the bar is a 20" hardnose 72DL you can still see the Poulan logo in white in the middle of the bar.

Very low hour saw, looks like it's been vacuum sealed. Look real close at the chain and see if it still has "Poulan" branded chain on it.
Yes it is a Poulan branded chain.
is this rare? i have never seen one actually on a saw this small.View attachment 278847
I have a Craftsman model 2300 CVA which has a chain brake. All the ones I've seen for sale up here in Canada have brakes. The brake handle is cast mag rather than the wire type on yours. Maybe it was an option is the US.
[this is just a hand protector not a chain brake.

Looking at my 4200 cylinder; it has a bridge in the exhaust port. The port also appears to be wider than the one in my 5200. It's wider than the muffler opening.
Is it likley that this is a replacement cylinder?
