craftsman sprocket

I have a Craftsman 18/42 that I need a sprocket for and the sticker with the model number is missing. The sprocket is a 6 tooth and it has CSI6 on the end of the teeth. If someone knows what the oregon number for the sprocket is I would appreciate it if you would post it here. Thanks for any help. Tom

It will be the same as a late model wild thing.....

Are there any 3400s that have thin rings? My 3.7 Red Craftsman has the same thickness rings as my 3400 but they don't appear to be as thick as those in the picture.

I have seen one and heard of another.
We concluded that they were probably 3700's that were decal'd and sold as 3400's.

The one I actually saw was a well used but well maintained saw that the old fellow bought new and he swore it had never been worked on.

I am looking for a NOS clutch cover for a pp335. I would like to have one with a chain brake in it, but either one will be fine with me. I would really appreciate some help on where to find one.

From your model number it's a Poulan 3800 saw.

Compression on these is typically low. Do you have a compression tester so you can get a real number?

If it starts and runs OK it may be OK. Lots of guys on here with 3800's that could give you an acceptable range for the compression if you can test it.

If you fell comfortable pulling the front cover off the muffler and looking the piston and cylinder through the exhaust port for scoring, that will tell you if you have a problem there.

God you know the thing starts right up and idles and seems to run good. I'm far from an expert though. I'm going to get a fresh loop for it and take it up in the grove this weekend. Thanks to you and everyone else for the help. Thing sounds neat at WOT.

Thanks Randy! It's on the way

What kind of price would you guys put on a NOS pp335? I am tempted to keep it, but just not sure yet. :msp_confused:

I got a couple gasket sets that I can scan. What sets do we have already? I think one is a 25cva set and maybe a micro set? I need to check them out. Nothing for the big guys yet except some 2100 husky.

Ok boys, sounds like you'll be getting some repop 4000 clutch cover stickers. Also a few more 245 and 306.
