Ok boys, sounds like you'll be getting some repop 4000 clutch cover stickers. Also a few more 245 and 306.

that sounds great, i think about restoring some of my saws but i actually like the patina and i also try and use them all (which is getting impossible) i quess if you are missing the sticker all together you couls slap one on.

Regarding the Craftsman version of Poulan Pro 5020........

358.354830 is my 3.7 craftsman from way back. i have never taken the muffler off either,

Interesting. That's the second part number at Sears that I've seen that has been recycled. It's also the number for their 5020
358.354830 Chainsaw from Sears.com

The other was when I was trying to figure where the 23389 pistons were used and found the model # which was attached to a 25 series saw and also to a new saw

I'm not sure how the Sears search feature works, but if you click on the saw in the above-listed link it takes to you to the actual model # 35098 (358.35098). To further complicate things I think that Sears has also added an extra digit to the model #.

If you use MotoSeal you'd better use it on both mating surfaces, that stuff is kinda thin but it works well.

Cool that is the plan...

Carb question this saw had the tillston Carb on it... is there much difference between it and the walbro Carb? As I can get the kits for the walbro and have a few carbs already rebuilt

You can get kits for the Tillitson carbs off FeeBay, too. I just bought one for an old Poulan, but haven't put it in yet.

I saw that, but he wanted them. I don't know why.

Maybe Joe wants them to see if there are subtle changes in the sticker logos over time.

BTW here's the 361 I got from you. Swaped the good P/C on it, then thoroughly cleaned and polished. I did happen to have a new spur for it.

I think the old cylinder in salvagable, that one might go on the Dayton 361.

I just need to pop a length of fuel line from the carb to the tank fitting and I'll be able to fire it.
