You said you were out of them the last time I tried to get them from you!

i remember but at that time i did not know of these cj are you sure the 2377 is what you need or is it the 2577 that you need ?
i recall i had the 2577 at one time also but someone bought all them

what i will do is call poulan up on tuesday and have them check the archives to see on that 361 what the part # is forthe rings

lets see if it is the 2577 for the 361 first
mark i may labble to find more i still going thru inventory from when i bought all the left overs from one of the shops here locally when they shut there doors down thats where all these parts came from

will let you know what poulan says

what i can do is take one of these rings and send it to a ring making company to see if they can remake them using the orignal as a template

Both the 306A and the 361 use the 2577 piston rings.

The rings that are listed in your link fit the 306A according to your site. Those should be 2577. Where does the 2377 come from?

that means that if that is the case then where does these rings that end in 2377 fit ?

that means i could have rings that fit a different model saw altogether cause the # on the package is 2377 so that may be a differnet item altogether thank you for pointing this out to me gives me another reason to call poulan on tuesday to get this model straight from what these rings go to in the meantime i have took out the 306a in the description till i find out what model it fits cause all that shows up on parts lookup software is obsolete does not list any models at all

Look for a 2576 piston also.

Can you help me out with some rings for a poulan 5200?

His site said 6 left. Between the two of us he should now be sold out. :D

I`ve never had the 306 A`s apart in the 30 odd years we have owned them and don`t know what size the rings are for them. Just had an idea that I would like to take them apart, clean them up real good and replace the piston rings while in there. They both have decent compression and no damage to the cylinders or pistons. We took real good care of them but used them a lot cutting firewood and clearing building lots.

That looks pretty mean , does it run much different?

Question for ModifiedMark

Mark

Do you have a 361 that you could take pics of? I want to get the paint scheme right on this saw when it is time to repaint.

Thanks
