Well, I just peeled off an old dealer sticker from the other side and found this under neath. So one side says 5200 and the other days 4200. I'm gonna be real disappointed if it's not a 5200 like I thought. That's a 20cc difference! :( guess I need to figure out which sticker is wrong! 20141006_151157.jpg

There should be model tag behind the clutch cover near the rear that will tell you what you have. If not, 5200, 2.065" bore, 4200 1.845" bore.

Either way, both are very strong runners.

Get on it son! Inquiring minds need to know! Lol... Good luck!

I know I want to know too! Gonna have to wait though, family dinner tonight. Good news is it fired right up with fresh fuel. But then the fuel line broke from being brittle so I need to replace that. I really hope its a 5200 but I'd be happy with a 4200 as well. Either way I think $100 is a decent price for either so I'm happy.

Well, my memory may not be right. Did you measure the bore? Drop the piston down so you can put a plastic straw, wooden skewer or something in there that can be marked. Try to center it and push it to the back of the cylinder and bring the piston up so it marks the straw or whatever you are using and then measure from the end of the straw to the mark left by the piston / exhaust port against the straw. That should get you close enough to tell.

Great idea Tim, I never would have thought to do it that way! I'll check after work tonight when I get home. Thanks for your help!

I bet those wooden stir sticks from places like Starbucks would work great instead of popsicle sticks too.

You stole it for $100, 4200 is a stout saw.

If that saw were mine, I'd be pulling the muffler and p/c and cleaning up some carbon. It looks like your piston already ate a little of it.

I don't mind pulling the muffler and cleaning it up but is there a way too clean the p/c without removing them? I've never done that and I don't have the right tools to get it back together I don't think.
