I just got a Poulan 3500 in a lot of saws. The plug in it is a CJ6. Is that correct one??? dunno.
I need Poulan 3500 SM, IPL and OM. PP365 would work, too. Thanks.

Just got the Poulan 3500 IPL from Ray. It lists plug as RCJ6Y.

Yes, from what I've seen, Oregon only made the 9T rim 3/8" rim drive for the standard (longer) 3/8"chain drive links.
You have to ditch the rim type & run an Oregon #28006 spur type for the OEM 3/8" LP.
I'd run the full house 3/8" chain if the bar sprocket fits it, but apparently yours does not.
I'm currently running that 9T rim type with standard 3/8" chain on a 10" hard tip bar, & it limbs out downed trees like a mad beaver. Start with a used chain, file/grind it razor sharp but don't lower the rakers & it pulls great.
I'm sure the kickback lawyers will get all bent out of shape because of this.

My S25DA came with a worn out 1/4-9pin spur sprocket and 12" hard nose bar.
I have a few 1/4-9-9 mini rims coming. The 3/8-7-9 mini rim is here on my desk. So your vote is that there is no such animal as 3/8lp-(?)-9 mini rim.
The craftsman 33cc 2.1PS is the other part of this project. and is where the 3/8-7-9mini rim sprocket came from.
I'm just saying that if Oregon did make, or source, a LP-3/8" rim in the 9 spline type, I have never seen literature on it, nor an actual sprocket.
However, like you, I would also like to find the LP part number (#22580 is the standard 3/8" rim), and a couple of the LP rims if they did. A phone call to their 1-800-223-5168 technical service help line did no good either, and they have some pretty good archives.
I did see that wildchld2svc still has those #18250 9 pin 1/4" rims & the 3/8" rims for a decent price on Fleabay...they're getting hard to find.

I actually did order/buy the 1/4"spur sprocket fromwildchild2 and he canceled my order. I was worried I did something wrong....I email him and he apologized and just said he couldn't find it and I was OK with that. I bought one from another vendor.
I just got 2 10" hardface and a 12" hardface bar cheap so I can run 1/4 or 3/8lp 0r 3/8 on these bars on any 4 of my small micro xxv or s25da top handle poulans.

With only a 3 cc differences Between the 3700 and 4000 ( 61 vs 64 cc's) it would be hard to tell the difference. That's what a lot of guys like the 3700.
curious as to why you would want a 1/4" pitch chain on a S25 DA or equivelant. The saw has more than enough power to run the standard 3/8 LP, not to mention chain is much more common and cheaper than 1/4".

Mainly to try them out. I have a good hand full of 1/4" chains and when I discovered that my 2.1 PS came with a full3/8 9spline mini sprocket it got me thinking. Plus the local stihl guy gives me a great price on 13RM chain. cheaper than I can get oregon So for the price of a few 1/4-9-9 rims I can try a whole bunch of combinations. I already had enough new 3/8lp spur sprockets to satisfy a few of the saws. Also I finally got my peerless chain sharpener going and can now use all my chains if I sharpen them. Plus the S25DA, the stihl 015L and the homelite xl2 originally all came to me with 1/4", though I did convert the XL2 to 3/8lp and seem to work well.
If I don't try it how will I know?....also not one of these 6 saws cost me a thing beside maintenance items, sprockets, chains and carb kits. Now I can say... in my shop I have 1/2 7/16 .404 3/8 3/8lp .325 and 1/4 chained machines.
So no, I can't really justify it or the 29 saws in the shop. Maybe my version of CAD.

New member to my addiction. 4200 looks to be all original down to the air filter except for the stihl chain. 21" HN BAR.
Nice! Looks to be an early 4200. Funny you post a pic of a 4200, I used my 4200 24" bar, yesterday to tackle some Ash trees, that we still had remaining. I used my PP-380 20" bar for some of them. I had some trouble gettin the old reliable 4200 to fire. I havn't touched these saws since last fall some time. I pulled the plug on the 4200. Didn't seem it was getting fuel. Poured a little fuel in the plug hole, and she sprang to life! Ran great the rest of the day.
Saved the largest tree for last. Huge tree that had wire fence grown into it. Made for some challenging foot work etc. to get at it. Had to notch and cut at about chest height. Let me tell you that 4200 isn't getting any lighter!
Mostly, I'm just getting a lot older. The power of that saw at only 69 cc's still amazes me.

LOL, Yes, I was up early today 3:00 am. Went to bed early too, thats probably why. I was wore out and sore after yesterday. So probably won't do much today. Stiff back and everything else that can get stiff. Hell to get old.
I havn't done anything at all with saws, for some time. Mine get dirtier from sitting and collecting dust & crud, than if I used them. I think I might swap bar onto my newer 5200 and give it some run time when I buck some of this Ash up. Just another excuse to run a saw I just don't get to run much.
I turn 62 in about a month. Truth be told the Super 380 is beginning to be my go to saw more & more. LOL I still like my 4000 as well though. I seem to spend as much, if not more time, sitting and taking a break than, I do cutting any more.

Here are couple Ash wood pics.. sorry, no saws in them. (forgot camera) 
Maybe will get some next time I start workin on them. The two bigger trees were still very solid! I was surprised. The bigger one was just over 30", then one 24". Others were smaller. Worst part of the whole mess, was just that, cleaning up the mess! I took down 6 trees at the edge of the woods. All into the neighbors cornfield. Thought I better get them down and out of there while I can.
The red thing is my new "money pit". Like saw parts aren't expensive enough. 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty. 4x4, V-10, automatic, She has some warts, but not bad for a 16 year old truck, 129,000 miles. I put new tires on it, that was a wad in itself. Going to replace ball joints, and steering parts myself, or at least try to.. LOL Shop wants $1,900 for that job. Yikes! Worth cussing & struggling with it myself for that price. Found all the parts I need for $650 or so. Will see. I think green Poulan saws will contrast nicely in the bed of a red truck..
