My photos are actually fairly old, and were previously posted, but they got lost during a server crash. I was digging through some photo files and decided to test the new (to me) photo posting function here. It's a lot easier than I thought.

My collection of Poulan, Craftsman, and Dayton saws isn't much compared to what some of y'all own.

Poulan 54 with bow (MM's saw).

What was the minimum age? I might be too young .

Only a test or are you rubbing it in .

I will have one some day

My 5400 was is a miracle saw.

It was a miracle that a large Poulan saw showed up on the local CL.
It was a miracle that someone didn't buy it while I was trying to figure which model it was.
It was a miracle that the seller dropped the price by 40% with no dickering.

Tim.. Now that I'm back on a pc I can see the pic you posted better. LOL I did something I said I would never do. Got a darn smart phone. Thats trouble there I tell ya.. Old geezer with a smart phone. Those big sand cast Poulans do a great job with a bow! And several guys run a bow on 5200/8500/ etc., those are fantastic also.

Gregg,

The reason I'll likely never have one. I can't see squat on those. Besides, every time I touch one the screen changes to someting else. A source of frustration for the kids but they try to hide it.
I did run one of Gary's 5200 bow saws as well. The bows are all fun to run.

I had a great a great time there.

Speaking of some old big Poulan bow saws. Here are a couple you don't see often.

That's a good policy. Folks have long memories, and if you ever decided to sell or trade it, they might expect a really good deal, i.e. ridiculously low price way below fair market value, just because you got a great deal.
