Barn finds. 3 variations on Poulan 25: Super XXV Countervibe, Micro XXV, Super 250A, PPro 305, A craftsman 3.7 that I don't recognize, a 306A, & some random parts for the 25's. Also a Homie XL12, but that's another thread. $15/each.

I have a small piece of steel in my arm that travelled about 3" from a mushroom like that on a cold chisel. Good advice.

BTDT. Spent the afternoon last fall at the hospital while they opened up my thigh and dug out some shrapnel from a splitting maul. Lucky it hit me in the thigh and not over and up a bit. Should have been more diligent with dressing the top of the maul.

The femoral artery would have been a lot worse than your equipment.

I grind all the striking tools off now, as soon as they start to mushroom.

Haven't used it much, was a hand me down until I can get a good one of my own. Suggestions on a decent new one that won't break the bank?

there is a set on ebay, but a little pricey, i have the cylinder but no piston or rings,

don't know enough to be suggestin anything, other than grindin that one. I like x27 for splittin. anything too big gets quartered w/saw first.

+1 one on the Fiskars splitting axes. I have a 36" one.

So much better than a standard maul and 6 lb total weight.

Absolutely worth the extra money. I'm sorry I didn't buy one sooner.

l can get 2 sets of those rings 530-027092 for your PP305. l need to know how much you are willing to pay ,to make it feasible to have them shipped to you.
