You run them out on the tip ? The wedge on the bar works as a dog?
Yes. The wedge, usually called a bumper or foot also keeps the chain out of the dirt if you use it properly. Using it any other way is dangerous. Used as designed they are quite safe but you can't fix stupid. The bars have a very large rotational kick back area.

How does the oiler work the same as on a bar just has to carry it the long way around ? Kickback could hurt

I posted a walbro SDC question on chainsaw board has pics and all the info . It's for my 655bp if you get a chance take a look .
I know a WJ was stock but the 21-85 came on the P62 Western so fuel delivery should not be a problem.

I don't want to say it's not possible but it would be unusual if the SDC model # was on the pump side cover.
Look the body of the carb over and see if you can find other numbers. The P62 and others came with an SDC 80-1, SDC 53 as well as WJ-9 and WJ-20
The 655 came with a WJ-38
Have a look at this link. If you do find the carb model number on the body, you can get the correct parts diagram. Just click on the carb model number and it will come up.
I think the 21-85 is the part number for the pump side cover.

I will look tonight .When I GOOGLE what chainsaw uses 21-85 it took me to this thread It is 6 years old
