Got a question, it not a Poulan, working on a homelite super xl automatic for my son inlaw he newly acquired. Would anyone know the resistance on the coil. I have now spark and I've checked everything I know to check. I suspect the coil has gone out but want to be 100% certain, has electronic ignition.

Did the Poulan 223 use the same PTO side clutch shaft thread size as the Poulan 361?

New guy is looking for a P361 clutch on the main forum & some 4 shoe clutches on fleabay “530010059” are described for a model 223 & look like they would work. I think they are mislabeled, but who knows when dealing with that auction site...

I know the later 306/245 clutches have a smaller shaft thread, as I just tried one to fit one on my P361 & it is too small.

Flywheel magnets occasionally get weak.
Well Tim, it appears the flywheel was the problem. Switched with a 3400 flywheel and though I ran it for only a minute or so, it runs fine. Next step is to swap pulleys so I can put the original cover back on. This 3700 has the 4000 dogs where the 3400 flywheel has the standard dogs. Very frustrating and time consuming process.

Does it look like the crank is bent or is than an optical illusion? I just have a picture to go by? It’s a Craftsman 3.3
