If that has the right topend and thats the right recoil for saw. That is really a poulan 335 predator in craftsman clothes. 54cc chrome bore with single ring 3450 330 piston.

Whole thing looks sweet. Glad it worked. Never had those bars here to know.

Yup chrome bore. The saw is a runner. I told you you know the most about these saws. I get those darn cylinders mixed up all of the time.:dizzy:

You need to take it for a ride, doesn't have to be very long, but you should .
Well today I decided to get my 1988 Yamaha Zuma 2 stroke running. It's been sitting a few years also, long story short, got it running good. Took it for a few test spins around the farm, was doing maybe 5mph, go to stop using both had brakes on tall wet grass. Well that front brakes grabbed and locked up sending us both down to the ground when the handle bars snatched to the right. Well a broke rib later I'm still hurting. Never had a broke rib, man this hurts, don't want to cough or sneeze, nor less go up some steps.

Yeah, sure looks like "Sears best" on the recoil. Very nice saw. I have a 3.7 Sears best, slightly newer but it's a poulan pro in Sears colors like that one. Damn shame what they sell now compared to what they used to carry

Sears Worst, unless you're buying hand tools, Lowe's now carry Craftsman hand tools. What gets me is hand tools have a life time warranty, ain't a chainsaw, drill, etc, a hand tool. How else you gonna use them.

Steve
Look close their hand tools are all made in China now. Wrenches went first, then sockets, wrenches finally screwdrivers. Some hardware stores carry craftsman now (ACE) around here and they still have made in USA stuff, prob cause it hasn't sold off older inventory

Didn't know that, I heard Stanley bought craftsman, the reason Lowe's now carries them. Haven't bought or had a craftsman tool replaced in awhile and use the sockets and ratchets all the time at work.

It's not that I like what happened to you but my way of letting you know I read your post. So sorry to hear about the ribs, had a few from a 2 stroke myself . They do hurt like hell ,hang in there
You know, it probably wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have a chest cold, this coughing is a killer, and getting out of my chair doesn't help. I should have just messed with a saw I just got instead of that Yamaha.

You probably would have busted a knuckle or thumped a finger working on a saw. When it's your turn it's your turn. Big cross of my fingers and a knock on wood so I'm not next. A cold sure sucks, there must be something to drink that will over power that cough, jack or Jim maybe. Best to you

I installed those same seals in my 5200, seals were too close to the bearing and was real hard to turn crank over. I pulled those out and ordered poulan seals, perfect fit. Was kind of iffy about them and didn't want to damage my build, scared the rubber part of the seal would get toasted being that tight.

I rathered had busted a knuckle, I'm used to that, it stops hurting after an hour, super glue stops the bleeding also. Already got a big black spot on a finger nail from two weeks ago when a stinking exhaust manifold bolt broke when I was trying to get it off. Not a drinking man, been drinking a lot of coffee to get the mess loosen up so I can cough it up. That's the tricky part.

Another Poulan 2000, guess I'm a magnet for them, I think I've got 7 now. This one has the plastic clutch cover with muffler guard. Haven't looked it over yet, just picked it up, took a quick glance and put it on a shelf in the hay barn. Son in law picked it up and three homies, two 150 or 250, the other is a 6 something with a bow which has seen better days, he told me Friday I could have those. If I can get the big saw to run, bow will need to be rebuilt, has a bad flat spot near the dogs. Don't think the bow was ever flipped and the guard has some gashes in it from running the chain too loose.
