So is there a secret source for the 530069290 starter pulley? I know they're tough to find.
What does it fit ,to lazy to hunt
Buy a starter on flebay and you get some extra parts with it. Only place I know of
There is a red craftsman 3400 on there right now for 35.00, I'll buy the extra parts for 15.00

Thanks. Pretty much what I figured would be the case. Not for me, though. Just checking for someone else who doesn't frequent the forums. Already sent him to ebay in search of a parts saw.
Well true the 36inch bar is rather optimistic though
And he says it pulls it too lol

It would be hard for me to trust someone to tell me the truth about the saw when the say that kind of thing... "yes the 36inch is to big but I have no other poulan saws left so it will go with this one hopefully you have a big saw to use this bar" .. something like that would sound a lot better

How many 4000s you have now Todd?
Only 3 and parts for 1 and some parts extra. The only parts I would use are true 4000 parts, just how I am. Now a 3700 I would use a 3400 as base.
