Those look nice, rear handle looks kind of out of wac on the left one near air cleaner cover. Other than that, nice looks bunch.

Steve

Was wondering about that too.

He has a bunch of saws FS. But nothing I am interested in.

The earlier model saws with the tube in the lower rear handle vs the extension nut in the middle are about 3/16" longer from the throttle lock switch to the AF cover.

I'm guessing the LH half of the rear handle bar is from an older model

The mount tube?

Steve

Lower rear handle AV mount. The older saws had a tube in the middle of the handle between the AV mounts with a long through bolt and a securing screw on the other side. The newer ones had a hex extension nut in the middle with a shoulder bolt on each side. The tube and the extension nut held the steel cups on the inside of the AV mounts in place.

Hope that explains it.

Does anyone ever check for crankcase leaks when they buy a used saw off the bay. Most the time all I hear is, I installed a carb kit and replaced the fuel lines. Wonder how many are a time bomb waiting to lean out and take out the p and c.

Where did you find a cup like that. Thought of having a picture like that put on a spare tire cover.

Steve

Just about anywhere that does photo stuff. Walmart and Costco are two that come to mind.

I'd show you the other side but you might turn to stone because it isn't green.

Have not checked that saw in particular for a crankcase or crank seal leak... It idles the same at any angle, starts easier than any of my McCullochs, great throttle response, Idles for a long long time... Not too worried about it... Me and my McCulloch's have not gotten along too well when it comes to crank seals... Common theme with them suckers.. Unless I've ran into a streak of bad luck!!
