Okay thanks I just finished getting it out and came back to your post. I did it the same way, great minds...... . .., I used my gunsmith screwdriver set and vice, was very tight, I will do like you said

Or swing a hammer for 30 years and smile at any screw or bolt that doesn't come loose... I've broke many of these brass plugs loose and blocked the governors in the last 10 years. Doesn't make much difference in the cut what so ever. It does fix a faulty governor though that will cut out and seem rich in the cut.

Thanks for that, I think that was the problem because the saw runs fine now. I will run it for awhile and put the govenor back together and see what happens. I would like to have it stock with the carb correct.

Pulling some more parts for a guy that has had his saw setting 10 years. This should do it for him. Already sold him a tank and handle and seen video of it running.

530032031 is the small end rod bearing for the 5200 if I'm correct and I have no idea where to find one. I would like to have one also.

If you still would like to have one, Sears actually has some in their warehouse, $17 per, & the daym shipping is 2/3 again the cost of the bearing, lol.

But, when you’re hard up to get a P5400 thin ring muscle saw back together, you’ll pay the price for one.

Those bearings fit the rods on the whole series.

If my memory is correct husqvarna 394, 395 will work, when I did Green Ripper i used the one that came with the 395 piston and it fit the 5400 crankshaft that I used

Had to order from three different locations to get them. The tank on my was busted from a tree limb. Got one off eBay and it came with the mounts but seemed kind of mushy and some of mine got broke.

OK, you’re correct on the Husky #503256191, looks like we got plenty of options as long as they’re not Chinesium made.

Last fall I bought a parts lot of used 5200 stuff and it had some of them in it along with some piston pins long and short, c clips and a pint can of bolts nuts screws and everything else for them. Been a nice thing to have to fix the saws.

I have more poulans in the works these all need carb rebuilds other than the one in the box.
I got three of them already.
I did get a few cuts with the 3800 it ran really good but needs a carb rebuild.

You be careful with my saw lol. It sure doesn't look like it has been taken apart before. Get it as clean as you can and it will be easier to keep it clean and the crud will just blow off. Nice to see you taken care of it. If you need anything let me know.

I believe the red lock tight is factory. Many of the assembly screws/bolts that are used in high vibration items will have lock tight already applied to them that has been dried so it stays put before the fastener is used. Not uncommon to find red or blue.

That brown stuff is. If it's missing from an old saw you know its been in to. Some folks leave it out to make the saw lighter.

Yeah I pulled the diffuser out to get a look at the piston and rings. I’ll be pulling it apart a few pieces at a time each night and cleaning it up. Got measurements off the clutch to make a spanner wrench so I can remove that. Figured new crank seals, duckbill, and gaskets under the carb. The muffler will get stripped and repainted. Antivibe mounts seems ok but I’ll see when I get in there. I’d like to find a factory Poulan bar for it, but if not I’ll throw a 28” Oregon on it. Should be fun!
