Sold an S25cva to a guy a few years ago. Came back saying the recoil wouldn't pull. removed fuel and it was straight gas. Believe he must have lent the saw out cause he knows better. Think I can salvage the cylinder but the piston is toast. Will have to ask him if he wants it fixed or not. Ruined a great running saw.
It can be fixed. Just finding the parts might be difficult.

Hi Tim...Like Mike said, gettin older, fatter and lazy. I got all them pretty much nailed. But, only been fishin twice all year.
I still manage to run some of my old Poulans occasionally though. Had cataract surgery this spring, If that don't sound like old guy stuff, i don't know what does. Good thing is, I don't need glasses any more.. LOL I get on here some, Nik's old Poulan forum, just to try and catch up with whats going on in the saw world ,

I put a new carb kit in the red 3.7 3800 the other day. Also remembered to help a guy on my forum about which gasket to use.
Saw is sold was testing for a few days to make sure all was good after going through it months ago. Dang carb dias said it's time.
Just glad it did it now instead after shipping to him.
Then I had a feeling I left the fulcrum just a hair high. Cold starting and tuning during testing proved I was right. So back in to lower a hair.
He is lucky it already has the rim set up.

I have a S25cva here that has the rear AV and top handle AV, guessing CVA . Parts saw to me, I'm not going to fix.
Thats what I am talking about right there.
I like using ultralight set ups and 4lb test. Just enjoy the battle.

Bought a propane fireplace from Lakeside,Lakeview, Lake some damn thing or other and looking at the map it was going to be close.
Just as I was getting ready to contact you the seller responded that they had to go to Cincy, and I met them there.
What are you fishing for the most?
I'm looking for a good Walleye/Sauger hole.

I tried that real light 2-4 pound line but spent more time screwing with the line than fishing!Thats what I am talking about right there.

Believe I'll stick to 6-12.
I don't really Bass fish but seem to catch a lot hunting panfish and Sauger.

Long time no post here - but I just got given a Poulan Pro PP3640 from someone who doesn't need it anymore and was clearing their shed.
Looks like a nice little saw with minimal use. And timely, since some %#$& stole my MS260 and Husky 266 recently. Although I've got a used 372XP coming as my 266 replacement i.e. 'big saw', it's great to have a smaller saw for smaller jobs (firewood, limbing).
I can't find much or anything about the PP3640 via the usual sources (google or youtube) - any good info or tips out there on this saw in addition to the manual (which I have)?

Got a picture of that saw with model number. I don't see a 3460 anywhere. I see 3416 but that's all.

Yup. Found an oem piston kit and was able to cleanup the cylinder.
I dont bass fish either anymore. Been years. He hit my crappie lure.
Talking about a fish that dont fight. Wife said to me once they are like the french of fish. OK you got me, I give and just roll on their side and enjoy the ride in.
Dang channel hit my crappie lure this year too. Talking about a fun fight. Even broke the top half off rod.
Was fun reeling with half rod up close.

Doesn't look like that model was for the US market, just Nz and Au market. Probably just a 3216 or 3416 for us.
