What’s the story on that Todd? Did you buy some & then have to return them?
You know that’s Lee’s little red barn seller, the same guy that screwed Steve on the unchromed 3400 piston.
He banned me for returning a knockoff 245A piston kit as both the piston & rings were also undersized...end gaps over 0.035”.
Seeing it's a Poulan thread I'll give you the boxed shots.
The 21 is missing the bar and i havn't even opened the MS241 box.

4000 rings, yes I bought a set and they were small, marked wrong was the reason. They are 3700 rings I'm told. Suppose to have some 4000 on the way in about 2 weeks I'm told, we shall see. I will keep you updated.

A question to all those with 20+ year old new-in-box saws.
When do you know it's the right time to bring it out, gas it up and break it in?

Good question. I only got mine a few years ago - there was a guy on Craigslist who had acquired a pallet of these unopened and I couldn't resist getting one. So for the first 20 years or so, I didn't own it. But that is kind of dodging the question. Currently I'm trying to thin the herd, so starting up another saw isn't a top priority. Guess I might be able to sell it for more than I paid for it, but that wasn't the point of getting it. I love these old high quality made in the USA Poulans and do most of my cutting with countervibes, so I could not resist a chance to get one in new condition.

I have plenty of running saws.
This one's too nice, and belongs in my saw museum. But it's still a tool I COULD use at any time.

I know of 2 guys with these in boxes still. Plus many other models.
Here I was thinking you weren't into the exotic plastic purple clam shells. (Or is this no relation to the Wild Thing)
Okay, the boxed Tim Allen 3750 is almost too much. I have one in very nice shape but a friend currently has it. I have a NOS bar for it that's Tin Allen branded, and appreciate its performance. Is the boxed saw available? That's great!

Hey guys, been quite a while since I’ve been on our posted, I haven’t been doing much with saws recently. Busy with family and other stuff.
But I was able to finally buy my father in laws Canadian version 8500. Love this saw and glad to have it. I haven’t seen any other ones of there anywhere.

That’s part of the Canadian version. They required that extra safety measure from what I’ve learned.
