Just for giggles anyone ever try 3/8 lp on a 2800? i know the K041 mount interchanges with the A041 mount on the wild thing. I have a rim drive coming for my saw and i do have a number of 3/8 lp rims that will work.
I've done it all the way up to the 60cc in those. Will work great on the smaller 46cc saw.

Did it to this echo with same set ups.

I will freely admit that the 5400 is the stronger saw when compared with a McCulloch PM850. The 850 would be a bit faster in smaller logs, but once you get the 36" bar on the 5400 buried there is no way the 850 could keep up. The 850 is a more compact unit and weighs less so I expect mine will continue to get more use than the 5400, just not that many occasions when I need to run a 36" bar.

I can confirm the 5400 as stronger than the 850 in 30" wood, and the P51 is way more than either of those two, the Pioneer even sounds much meaner. At the PNW gtg we are going to attempt to run an old school 80cc comparison. 5400 vs 850 vs 81cc 045, vs p51. I think the Pioneer handles and balances best with the 850, not far behind. The other two feel heavier. The 5400 has the worst balance running a 30" bar.

I have to agree with the 5400 being very nose heavy with anything more than a 24 inch bar. The good side is with all the weight out front it has the power to cut at any place you move your trigger finger.
The 5.2 craftsman came with a 30 bar. The 1.562 stroke is the power maker.

@RedneckChainsawRepair yep I saw his ad and looked around. There is one I saw but to me its not great deal and doesn't meet his request. I've never seen a great deal on that sellers site anyway.
PM sent.
No need to keep looking. He showed me a like new one he found for his needs.

Thanks for help though.

Been running a 3.3 all week. The more I run it the more I like it. My boy likes it too. He actually picked it over his 023 tonight and I about passed out. He loves his 023. I may have to go ahead and get my gray 3.3 oiling so we don't fight over the black one.

Tell me more about the old Chevy in the background.
I am searching for one of that vintage for my GF, plus i don't have one of that body style in my fleet
That was my uncle's. My brother and I always looked after him and he willed it to us when he passed. It is extremely special to me. 63 Apache.

Ok so I am staring and comparing small bars like from a Wild Thing, to the bar from my Counter Vibe 3400 and other then the hole, they actually work. So I grabbed the 3/8 sprocket from the Wild Thing LE and put it on the 4620AVX. Then added a little W50 oil to thin the mix to help oil the 24 inch bar... Yup, that works well too. So I cut up some 10 inch red oak logs laying around and it went through it about as fast as a Wild Thing. If you have a small Poulan, Husqvarna or Echo and a bad back, buckin smaller wood standing up with your sub 50cc saw is definitely possible.

This hits home. I have a terrible back. I also have an addiction to small plastic Poulan saws. 🤣
Thanks for posting your findings!

I saw these two on marketplace about 20 minutes from my house so I had to go check them out in hopes that the 3700 would be a jewel under the dirty outside. I told myself I would not buy them if it was not really really nice. They were in good shape and both are runners had new chains on the slightly used bows but not super nice. He wanted $200 for the pair. I told him I really was not interested and he said he would take $100 so they came home with me. It’s a sickness I think!A1553096-7BB3-4457-BF69-90BAC4027072.jpeg253BACF0-E407-4C35-A1E2-DFA9FCCA7A1E.jpeg
