That one will be either the thick ring poulan 3800 or the thin ring poulan 3700. Red came in both.

My 2 cents. I would not attempt to use the sharpener. Need for nostalgia purposes, but not practical in the real world. I don't think they ever cut anything like standard chains .

just to be clear, not my saw, these are pics from the for-sale ad.

Thats not even the chain for those powersharp on side. Thats that oregon vanguard chain with bent safety raker. Hate that stuff.

Think the chain was called barracuda chain for the old stuff.

Had saws with the attachment and never ever will use that thing. Just do like others side run regular chains.

2 of those pics is far as regular chain went before begging to be sharpened. Then carbide that keeps on going. Wouldnt have believed it if I hadnt seen it myself. Now I know why FD's use them on the roofs etc. They are unreal.
Being I got 2 of these pricey stihl carbide chains now. 1 on 4000 in 050 and 1 on a G466 in 063.

We had a good thread on sharpening them. The files were a no go for time spent. The dremel ones worked for some folks I trust for info.

But best feedback come from a good friend with one of these on his grinder too.

Guy in my chainsaw repair group FB. Great thread on carbide chains and sharpening last month.

Thanks Chad for your feedback in that carbide thread. Black Friday sell going on with 10% off and Free shipping.

Merry Christmas to me. I'll tell wife she bought it for me. 😁

Hey guys I need some help!! I'm looking for a 36"bar and a skip tooth full chisel chain to fit the Poulan 3400 to 4000 serese saws. .050 3/8 and dont know number of drive links. My guess is 112DL. I have found 28" 30" and a 32" with very limited info and most NFS. I know there out there as have pictures and videos of them on these saws. Please dont scold me for wanting to do this. I know these saws arent high hp or rpm. I have a couple I have been playing with that really run good so far. Ported Base delete MM Timing advance Increased air flow. I want a long bar for cutting ice. Chunking firewood without bending over. I have a redoak blown down thats 4 1/2 ft around the trunk that i would like to slab off and see what it looks like in the center. The cross referance I have found is really poor too. I know there is other saws with the same mount.
Thanks for any help!!

Too far for me so I may as well help someone find a deal. Killer deal on a 7700 50 miles east of Louisville on mp.
Or alternatively, I'd be willing to negotiate some $$ if someone close wanted to pick it up and ship it. Seller won't ship.
great price on that. would make a good project.
