No, the 260 is a strato.
Not sure of the Craftsman version but will do a bit of research and get back to you.
If Mark doesn't come in first.
My 1999 358.350080 has only a simple single butterfly carb, so from the downthread link it would not appear to be strato.

a while ago i asked wich fuel ratio.
on this site the recommend fuel ratio is 1:32
Model Profile: Micro 25 Deluxe

it is ok to use that to right?

32:1 is what I use in mine...you can go a little either way with no bad effects. I wouldn't go more than 10 either way, 22:1 makes a lot of smoke and carbon in the engine and 42:1 (unless you use good synthetic oil) will wear your engine out quicker but will probably have a little more power.

Some here will write that they use 60:1 or 80:1 in their engines and that's ok.....for them!

In that case I'm going for the 32:1 ratio.
and what do you call good oil?
i have the husqvarna two stroke oil now

I would think that would be good oil. Stihl makes a good oil too. Generally, when I'm not hurting for money I go to the motorcycle shop and buy a quart of Klotz Techniplate.($13.95) I've used it in all my 2 strokes for years and it's shown to be good. Bel-Ray makes another good one, I can't remember what they call theirs.
On the Husqvarna bottle, it probably shows that you can run it at higher ratios, so it's up to you.

A funny thing about Klotz oil...being red in color, when you mix it with gasoline it looks like no oil is in the fuel. I had a fellow stop me from putting it in my saw the other day because he thought I was straight-gassing it!

Same thing happened to me with Royal Purple. Wish they would add more tint to it....easy to see in the can but not when pouring.

I have had and have several of these little saws..
i use jonsered oil, part synth and part dino at 50:1 with no problem.
as has been stated MANY times,it is not the ratio it is the OIL that makes the diff.
my old saws that say 16:1 with 30wt i still use 50:1 with no problem.
this has been hashed and thrashed over many times..
the new oils have plenty lube at 50:1

not me!

your more brave then me!!! i used to blow up old homelite stuff all the time i had echo saws and stihl saws used to just run the 50.1 stihl or echo oils they were fine in my 50.1 stuff.... but i toasted a few stick edgers and blowers that ran on 32.1 since then i go the extra mile and have seperate fuels for anything old and run 40. 1 in everything else knock on wood no problems in ten years.....maybe im just superstiscious besides bad spelling LOL! this is just what works for me not trying to step on any toes just saying what works for my self.

Everyone has to do what they feel comfortable with!
ME...I run Klotz at 36:1 in EVERYTHING.
So far so good. And my engines are very clean inside.

You guys missed out on a sweet craigslist 4000. This one was posted in the sticky thread. LINK. This one's about as nice as the one I sent to Hawaii and nearly got tarred and feathered for doing so, lol. Maybe this one will redeem me:)

Ha! Who missed out? It was I who posted it in the CL thread for you to find it. :msp_tongue:

I'll tell you what though, if I didnt have 2 of them already, you wouldnt have that one now.

I posted it so a saw lover would be able to get it and I'm damn glad that you got it.

Thanks Mark:) I sure wish I could have gotten you a bow setup last week. I sure tried. Maybe he'll come off one next year. I'm going to go back and see if I can find your post and see if the CL add is still up. If so, I'll grab the one picture it had.

Thats ok Brad, I really wasnt wanting the bow setup for myself much anyway, I have one 245 bow and that is probably enough. I guess I could have a matching 306A bow though. :smile2:

Mainly just wanted to point out that the complete setups are kinda getting hard to find as they use several unique parts to fit a bow to them and finding all the parts in one place is a great thing.

Glad you got the 4000, there great saws.

I did mistakenly leave that old sand cast Poulan in the back room of the Husky dealer I got all those old saws from last week on vacation. Maybe I'll pick that one up next year. I never did dig it out, but it looked similiar to my 43 and 44.

I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to keep a bunch of gas cans around with different mixtures in them...I have enough trouble just keeping the 2 cycle mix separated from the 4 cycle gas.

i just do 3 one for mowers! straight one for 40:1 i use it for all current saws. and on just for my old 32.1 saws! big black letters so none of my lil pals can mess it up!!!Its a pain but it keeps saws from bein gased LOL it works for me guess im and old dog! it works out easy no 32:1 goes out just at home gas for mowers and 40. for mixed fuel a good syn blend right now stihl but i think i like echos blend heck poulans aint to bad either!

I noticed the same thing. I have some old Amsoil 100:1 synthetic and add a capful or two to the oil measure before I measure in the good stuff. Tints it enough to notice. May add a little to the smoke, but thats fine. Always a skeeter or two here to scare off or kill.
