My pumps are both black Mark. Yeah I was thinking that I may as well get a new one and get it over with. The pump will work on the bench in a jar, so maybe you're right, it's not getting enough back and forth motion on the saw.

PWE 545036801ASM-OIL PUMP 9.29

Far as I know this is the latest part # for that pump, but you might want to check by your type #

Ted, I would love to swap but I can't this time as I committed not to bid.:hmm3grin2orange:
Actually, someone else has indicated they are going for it. And what is it with the price of the 166's? I put Chris on to one last year for $500.00. He was happy to pay but I thought it excessive. I love Dollies but not that much.

I reckon I will pick one up for a fairer price if I keep looking. There was a power of big Macs sold in Australia and there must have been a lot of Partners and Dolmars amongst them. They will be just sitting in farmers' sheds waiting for me to come along and find them. And when I do you had better be nice to me!

Al.

Hmmm .... pricing like that may have to 'hit me on the right day' to work for me ....

.... and I'm nice to everyone; especially the cow and the chicken!

Pumps are all the same I think according to the IPL.

Thanks for the help guys.

if there is a way to tell if one is good by inspection I will send you one. I've got a few small parts saws laying around now, but would hate to mail you one that was no better than what you have.

4200 A/V bushings

Does anyone have a couple used functional av bushings for a 4200, 5200, etc?
Or does do they cross over to anything else?
There are new ones on ebay $$$ :(
The ones on the bay don't list the 4200 as an application, but shouldn't they be the same as the other saws in that series?
Thanks
Jim

Went to look at a 3750 thinking it might be something a friend wanted. It wasn't in that good of shape to want to ship to him but I did pick it up knowing it was going to take some work. 3750 parts I'd like to find;

1. Air filter cover - Check

2. Air filter - Check, but could only find one, would like another one......any sources??

3. Bar and chain ( what size bar and what kind of chain will it pull well in softer wood??) Nothing yet......any good recomendations/sources??

4. muffler Nothing yet.....anyone got a parts saw with a good one!??

5. Something I can't think of right now!???? Top shield - See them in the IPL's on various sellers websites but nobody seems to have one. Need a black one.

Thanks in advance for any parts sourcing info........maybe someone's got a parts 3750 saw under the bench/on the shelf??

Was able to locate a few items.........didn't think this saw would be that difficult to find parts for!???

As far as the muffler I believe you can get a new updated kit, the same one as on the PP330. As far as bars go you can either switch over to .325 and find tons of bars to fit the K041 mount or call Bailey's and they will take .325 Oregon powermatch and switch the nose to 3/8 for you at no charge.

opinions on the PP4620AVX would it be worth getting for $30 if only needs fuel system work? also can it be converted to 3/8 pitch with a new bar and chain?if so would it be low pro or std?

Thanks in advance

Might be worth the trouble if the saw is in good shape, nothing broken or missing, etc. Can be converted to 3/8 but you'd need a new clutch sprocket also. You'll end up with more than $75 in the saw then. Getting a little pricey. I think that would be the low profile 3/8.

Actually, that saw works pretty well with the .325 chain if you open up the muffler. I got a PP295 muffler off ebay and then retuned the saw and it runs suprisingly strong. I bought mine new, so I'm in it a lot more than you, but I am very happy with mine, especially for the price. For what the cost would be to switch it over to 3/8", you will be into that saw for too much money.

I have a PP 295 also and just changed it over to a 18" bar and chain. I am still using .325 on it. I did look into a 3/8 sprocket but did not find one.
My PP260 uses a 3/8 sprocket but I did not check to see if they interchange.
I did compare the bars between the PP295 and the PP260 for mounting and oiling and cannot see any difference.

Hey Paul, the link didn't work for me so you'll have to tell us what saw you're talking about.

lil top handle poulan pro 180 found another one but could not remember how to tell if its 34 cc 30 cc or 38 cc im hoping that they are 38 cc thanks....

was not sure

was not sure if they were like 2300 which is 38 2000 which 34 and the 1800 is 30 cc? but i thought some poulan 180s were 38 cc????

Kinda what I thought but hated to say it...

Poulan 335 bar

I think I'll get a 16" bar instead of the 20" for the 335. I see Oregon offers both a Power Match and a Pro Lite in 16". Any recommendations on which to buy? Also how come the stock bars don't have an oil hole? What am I overlooking.
