Hey folks , sorry I don't get around here much anymore but I was wondering if anyone here could help with the shrubs in this title.
I had a landscaping co design and plant my front yard and their scheme includes three Ninebark Summer Wine plants . It seems they (the stems) are not strong enough to hold the weight of the snow we get around here and are crushed by its weight every year . Am I not cutting these correctly by leaving the flower buds on the ends of the branches ? It says not to prune them after August .
