Someone told me there is a way to stop sweetgum from producing those pesky little spikey ball fruit. Is this true? I am assuming it is some type of injection? Any info would be appreciated.

I got sucked in to believing that if you drive a railroad spike in one it will not produce gumballs, He said it won't work the first year but the second you will nat have any.

Well stupid me drills a hole and drove one in. I think it made it produce more. Put up with it for about four more years and then cut it down.

Primo growth regulator helps with that as well, how well? I have no clue, just know it is "supposed" to work! I do know it works on avocado trees.
