Hey guys,
I know I promised some pics and videos of me and timberframed milling some 60" logs. Well we didn't quite get to the big daddy's because I think Steve wanted to get a taste for what CS milling was all about.
So he got us going on a couple of different oak logs. Timberframed was working on a large red oak (maybe 38" at the smallest and close to 50" at the crotch). I was working on an older, not so straight, what was believed to be a pin oak. That one was 34" at its widest.
Red oak pic and video (if I attach it correctly)

This was my first time milling with my 076 and steves 880. Both were used with 41" bars and I have to say my 076 stood right up against the 880. There was certainly more heat build up on my hard nose bar and the 880 sure seemed to be putting out more oil.
I will be editing some gopro videos for you guys once my computer gets up and running better. I got a lot of good footage.
Thanks again to timberframed and his son Grant for coming by and showing us his massive mill and really cool saw. He's a stand up guy and even got me lunch.
