work in a air conditioned office for a living some of us actually work..
Magnum, You dont have a clue in this regard. Do you know what its like to be mentaly tired vs physicaly tired? Working behind a desk is not the joy ride you seem to think it is.

Ben I was talking to Doug not you,why don't you come out here and work with me a full 12-14 hr day and we'll see what you think then,I don't consider sittin behind a desk pushin buttons to be work why don't you carry a 15 lb saw around for 12 hr's felling, bucking logs, climbing in and out of the skidder and then let me know what you think,What do you think running your own business is'nt hard to do and mentally tiring ???

Hey Rob, don't let the turkeys ( young or old ) get you down. Keep posting stuff about your logging business. The rest of us are actually interested. Wish I had my a$$ in gear when I was your age. Maybe I wouldn't be working so hard to catch up right now.
Be well,
George

Hey Rob, I wouldnt worry to much about anyones derogitory comments here. They are obviously jealous of you.
I checked into the background of a few of our members here.
This is what I found:
DB is a night janitor at Walmart.
DG runs a daycare centre in Clearwater.
BW works at Macdonalds.
JF works on an assembly line for Coors.
GL sells marital aids door to door.

Misinformed and mindlessly spewing as usual, John. I'm the day janitor at the Victoria's Secret warehouse in Boston, and there's no air conditioning in there either. Most of my work involves a 3 pound broom and wearing various pieces of lingerie on my head. The only buttons I push are the ones on the compression dumpster outside on the loading dock and those that belong to AS members who are ripe for it

Yah, Ben won't work at McDonald's because they use ancient fossil oils for the fries. Wendy's only uses the best synthetics!:p

Guy's I'm sorry about being a a$$ about all this it's just been a very bad week I have some serious bills due and the work just is'nt coming in due to so much snow there is'nt very much building lots etc.. to do,but I just got a new tract to start Friday so things are looking up. :)

Later Rob.

After having the winch give up on me today, I'll take the day job with J.F.:D
Rob hope things look better around the corner, I know the feelings too. I've only landed two thinnings to get me to apr.

<p>Howdy<p/>
<p>I really don't think a discussion of who works harder than who is really applicable here or anywhere. What would be fairer to everyone involved to ask yourself "What exactly am I accomplishing here?"<p/>
<p>One of the most famous of old-time Oregon loggers, Anton Lausmann, never set foot in the woods ever. But what he did for the timber industry far exceeds that of any other logging contractor in Oregon from 1870-1990. He never packed a saw, never swung an axe, never drove a skidder.<p/>
<p>Another famous Oregon logger, D. Douglas Dent, worked as a timber faller for years and went on to complete a Phd. in Business. He worked for a while managing a corportate entity and promptly quit and returned to professional timber falling.<p/>

Here is a pic of my V8 hotsaw that I would have posted, but I dont own a disc for my digital camera since I spent all my money on my saw. Really, I do know how to run a saw.

Hey Robert, if you insist on having the biggest handheld chainsaw in the world, then I am going to design the smallest saw in the world. Starting with a Super Tigre model aircraft engine, it will be complete with helpers handle and wheelbarrow handlebars. I'm sure that A.M will square file a 1/4 pitch picco chain for me.
So put that in your pipe and smoke it!
P.S., can someone help me will the design? Direct drive is ok.
John
