Has anyone had problems with registration at ebay? I've registered and find that I can't sign into the site. I've tried to reregister using the same info. and get a message that I don't need to reregister, because I'm already registered. I've requested they send me my user ID and password. Which they have done. Also tried to change my pasword and can't seem to get through to do that. Is ebay having problems with their site? Tried to register to bid on a old saw, but it's now been taken off the list. Talk about being frustrated. Any suggestions? Lewis.

I suspect you may be mistyping your password, or maybe the password is case sensitive, and you're using the wrong case. When you try to register again, it won't let you use the same username, even though you are using a different password than before.

Thanks, for the reply. TonyM

When I registered, I wrote down everything. User name, Password, secret question, etc. exactly as I entered it on the registration form. Including what case I wrote it in, etc. Have requested that they send me username, password, etc. which they have. Tried to reenter the info and still can't get in. Beginning to think they don't want my business. Lewis.

Wierd things happen, especially if kids live in the house, playing around with settings.

What are your browser's cookie settings?
What browser do you use? Has it been corrupted, need to be reinstalled? (Go to the library to see if you can log on there)
Is your anti-virus protection too tight?

Have you checked with your service provider?

It may not be you.

I've been having problems there myself. Mostly on the "MY EBAY" page. I can delete some things, but others tell me I have entered an invalid user id. I can bid, etc., with no problems though.

Thanks for the replies.

Checked with road runner. Apparently they along with others are having problems with their servers with viruses. again. So-big being one. Guess I'll have to wait till they figure out what they're doing. Thanks, Lewis.

Eric, If you have selected"keep me signed in on this computer" and go directly to "My Ebay" it will let you delete "Items I'm watching" but not "Items I didn't win"-- right? You can bid but you are asked to verify who you are by entering your password. For some reason the "keep me signed in" feature has limits on it that don't have you fully signed in (probably so someone else doesn't sit down at your 'puter and go nuts bidding on things you don't want) If you go through sign in again each time you should find all your MyEbay controls working. -Also they should work after you've bid on something for the rest of that session.:)

Thanks for the replies.

I have no problem getting on ebay and viewing the site. I have just gotten an email from them and will have to see what it says and what I can check out from it. There's a few links in the email to explore. Will see what happens. Thanks, again. Lewis.

OK, everyone. I solved the problem.

I have this thing on registering. Only want to do it once! But I did reregister under another user name and password, etc. All seems to be working fine now. Still peeved that I missed out on bidding on a saw, I was looking at. Thanks, for you help and suggestions. Mabe, now I'll be buying something that someone here has posted on ebay. Think I would rather send a pm or email to the person on this site that has something for sale. Thanks, Lewis.
