I was absent for a large part of the day on Sunday, one of my stops in town had paid off with a return call from a shop that thought they might have some parts/saws I would be interested in so I had to see. If you are really serious about it, you can fit a lot of stuff in the back of an F150...
Not everyone would consider a pile of Mini-Macs, Plastic-Macs, and a few 10 Series saws a catch but there will be quite a few good parts saws in there so I can help a lot of other folks keep their sentimental old saws running for a while to come. I'll report more on some of the saws I picked up when I get home later this week, but several came from the Oregon company where they had been used for testing the kick back propensity for different styles of chain.
The totes were on sale at Jerry's for $10 each, and they are even the right colors! Two totes are full of Poulan covers and parts, one tote is full of McCulloch covers and parts, and one was loaded up with all of the spare tools & supporting materials I carried along to this GTG. As you can see in the background, the stragglers began a bit of cleanup in preparation for next year's event.
Before...
After...
Without a doubt, the greatest moments at a GTG like this are the ones that don't necessarily include chainsaws.

I am anxious to get home, but already making plans for next year as well. Time now to hit the road for the scenic drive home. I'll be taking the northern route along I90 for a change of scenery on this trip.
