3 differences,

Chain tensioner

Easy Start (aka extra spring in the recoil)

Sticker that says 440 on the recoil housing

Up here in Canada the difference was near $80 for all that extra hp!.........i mean weight.

My 435 Arrived this week. This is my second saw. Bought a very cheap Einhell saw last year that expired last month and learnt my lesson on buying cheap.
Difference is night and day. Had been tackling a downed sycamore when my old saw died. It was struggling and I had penned in a full day to clear it.
With the 435 I was done on less than 2 hours!
Looking for some advice from the forum, I have my 5l of Husq chain oil but need to get some two stroke oil. Go brand name again or will any two stroke saw oil do?

Cheers

Looking good, makes me want to go cut. Sea level helps these little motors a lot, my 435 never runs at less than 8500-feet.

I just use the Wal-Mart brand oil. The key is to NEVER straight gas a 2-stroke.

I'll only use Husky oil and premium unleaded fuel now, as the regular fuel has ethanol in it, which absorbs water. Use the best fuel you can find. If you have regular fuel without ethanol, fine, otherwise spend the extra 30 cents and get premium.

Cheers it's about £10 per litre of Husq oil so no going to break the bank.
That's for their LSl not their XP.

Congrats on a nice saw, I've got one too.

You may want to invest in the "splined" screwdriver so you can adjust the H and L mix screws.

You can always review the thousands of oil threads in this forum.

The short answer is don't use marine 2-stroke oil, pick a quality brand, make sure your mix ratios are right, use fresh fuel, shake well before using, and stick to that.

There is no power difference, the initial ipl showed different part numbers, they are all the same now. Never believe any specs you read, thats just marketing.

Piston and cylinder are the same and have the same part number, so it would have to be the flux capacitor, and sealed muffler bearing that are making the difference.

Not really - the piston is the same, the cylinder is not!
