So now you are saying our gettos are better than their gettos
Thats exactly what I am saying. Our blighted areas, by third world standards are pretty nice.
How many people in India have welfare, healthcare, running water, sewer, food stamps etc? Truth is poor people in the US are not poor by world standards.

POOR is POOR in any county. How poor doesn't matter.. if you can't afford to eat or live. But it helps to be poor to understand this...

I'm not participating in this discussion .. but Ben, you need to get out of Upper MI a bit more...

This thread is so derailed, so what the h311, here is a short China story.

A friend of mine just got back from China, and shared a few stories about how hard these people work.

One story, shortly after he got there he saw a man riding a bike with huge garbage bags , puffed up all around the bike,,, "You could barley see the rider" so asking his interpreter what that was about, he got the explanation that that would be a "single" guy, no wife,,,, as the garbage bags were carrying either propane "LP" or natrual-gas, and the bags would be hooked up to a gas burner to cook his meals. The explanation continued that if he had a wife, she would cook by snapping kindling or firewood during the day, a single man, working a lot of hours would rather save the time and burn "LP" Mexicans or Americans, would not do that here, I was impressed by stories of China's workers!

So sort of back on Topic, kinda :)

If you could have Stihl build any saw, say the "661". What displacement would you give it, and why?.

I'd love to have an 80cc saw, that weighs 12lbs :rockn: comparable to a MS460 in power.

Lake, how many people starve to death in the US?
Dont tell me poor is poor when the average "poor" person in the US has TV, housing, running water, food, sewer, healthcare.
The differance between a person of the untouchable caste picking through garbage outside Mumbai and and some welfare rat in Detroit sitting on their azz collecting welfare checks is pretty stark.

Shoer, National Geographic had a article awhil back about China's rust belt. Guys would work extremely long hours at a steel mill. When the got out of work they had to pic through the slag heep to find scrap coal to heat and cook with.
I have also seen first hand shanty towns in South Africa that was awfull beyond description. Also been to rural parts of Northern Mexico that are not much better.....In the USA we got it good.

You miss the point entirely.. If you live in a getto here, it sucks, and if you live in one in Inda, it sucks too... and as for "heath care".. don't get me started.. enough.. take it to OTT.

Lemme get this straight. You claiming there is no differance between poor in the states and India? being poor is relative and a poor person in the US would be living high on the hog in India.

Ben: you're twisting the words to your own ends. If you want to continue this asinine argument, start a thread on OTT.
