Older Echo Parts

I have an Echo CS4600 chainsaw (ser. 054871). I am having trouble finding parts. Right now, I can't even find an unused air filter (130 300-3383 0) or an oil pipe/tube (437 210-1993). I would appreciate any information that might help. Also, possible ways I might refurbish the existing air filter frame. Thank you.

I have the same saw that I recently fixed up. It’s an impressive saw for its class so I put some money into mine. eBay is usually the answer for 4600 parts. There was NOS air filters the last time I checked, but they aren’t cheap. Sawagain.com also has some 4600 parts, but not a huge selection.

I don’t know why, but Echo used many of the exact same parts on different saw models of that era but changed the part numbers from the 4600 model numbering. Some of the odder parts you need might be found searching the similar models of the era, such as the CS-4400, CS-4500, CS-5000, etc. I’m guessing the oil pickup tube you need could be found that way.

That being said, 4600 parts are drying up and I still need a couple of things for mine to replace things that are wearing out, but that I can’t find on eBay. I’m still searching for a parts saw to keep mine going longer. I’d suggest watching your local Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for a parts saw for your 4600 if you like it enough.

I have a CS-4600 I purchased used a few years back missing an air filter and would not start. I assume that someone could not find an air filter then just gave up on it. I found the last air filter on e bay. Now I am having a harder time finding parts as mentioned above seems as though parts supplies are drying up for this one. I did see that the air filter in the parts manual on page 2 has two numbers 130 300 3333 0 "air filter" then 130 300 3383 0 which says, "felt option air filter". Not sure what age these saws are but seems strange an air filter would be phased out. Even from Stens or aftermarket N/A

As far as adapting to a new air filter I did some research.
Looks like the cover part number 10150137630 is the same for the CS5000. We may be able to adapt from there.
The bracket air cleaner 13042039730 has superseded to 13042039731
13032539730 stud is not available.
The air filter is the same part number as used on a current cs400 13030039730
13040539730 air cleaner bracket, not available.
13030239730 cover.

The air filter is the same for the current CS400 as the CS5000.
So missing pieces for the conversion are stud for air cleaner and cover to hold air cleaner on. We may be able to adapt the cover from the CS400 part number 13040538332 so then just a stud is needed and some tuning.
