The 660 may be next if I like what he does with the 361.

The 441 will stay stock though.

Ran a 441 today, they are smooth cutting. Darn-est carb i ever saw. 2 barrel.

Also glad you are getting a 361 done up. Someday I would like to compare with my DN 357xp that Big Dave carved on. Someday someway I will be at the spring MI gtg.

Cut, not much talk of a GTG lately, but the last scuttlebutt was we were going to try to move it a little south, so you OH and IN guys could possibly make it.

Dave is still planning on having one at his place, right?

I'd be all for doing one in the southern MI/northern IN/OH area. Got a lot of Saturdays booked up for mid-April and early-to-mid May already, but a Saturday in early April (or during the winter, that's fine too) would work great for me.

Or else we could do it on almost any Sunday, that would work beautifully for me and I'd be game for that most any time.

Dont know Brandon, I guess I forgot about that one!!!

Guess well need to find out. I see Dan lurking there in the bottom....when you are going to show at a GTG?

Why did you name a saw OLE TOM?

I ran a 441 today too....

I'll stick with my 372's and 7900's. The 441 is a heavy pig, has a wierd high pitched vibration and it isn't a 440, although it did seem more "torquier" or a wider powerband.

On an interesting note, I saw the inside of a 575XP today too. That is just plain wierd....

Steve, the Ole Tom is in reference to The Jewel thread. sheesh.....

Glad to see you got to try a 441, it makes sense you didnt like it, youve been using those inferior saws for so long youve gotten used to them. That weird vibration you felt was the saw buzzing through the wood, not just sitting there chewing on it like a beaver.

Hmmmm????

Nice Troll there Casey, think he will bite????

Ole Tom is back in the stable...safe and sound.

Dave did a nice job on it too. Cant wait to report on how it does in wood, possibly this weekend.

Cool, you running 3/8's on it? Cant wait to compare a DN 361 to a DN 357. You and another guy from Ohio are both getting the DN 361's done. So my chances are getting better of trying one out someday.

I'll call my 361 the Formal 361. Since it belongs to Mr. you know. LOL

Fred

In the EHP versions the 361 wins flat out according to the latest reports, but I agree - interesting to know how the DN ones do......

I think it comes down to the modder and his work. Maybe ed knows how to get more out of his 361 then he does a 357.
I remember reading a Big Dave thread, where his 357 was out cutting a 361.
So I do think it depends on each modders numbers and know how and just the particular saw.
