Whats the poop on yer filter?

I took the new filter from a member here, which was wrong but close. I modified it to fit and saw and it's works good. I have some more filters that I am going to glue some felt on.

I'm thinking a bolt with loose tubing sleeve.

Here ya go:

I do not know the metric size of the threads so here are the pages.

Coupling nuts: One of these should be the correct size...

Metric Bolts (pick your length in mm) and just search the diameter ie: M6,M7,M8,... and thread size.

I tried to start my olympic 251 and it has two problems. You have to tap on the pull start to get it to re-wind and I think I have an air leak. It idles too fast and it is slow to return to idle after full throttle

1. If your cord is too small it sometimes gets stuck.
OR
Perhaps your spring needs to be a turn or two tighter
OR
The plain bearing the pulley rides in could be worn out. If this is the case you may be sol
Encountered all three of these regarding stuck pulley
2. You may have a leak (im searching for one right now). If no leak, you can fatten the lo screw to help it return to idle. If you have a leak quit using it til fixed.
Good luck

IMG_20171019_202951993.jpg IMG_20171019_203018524.jpg just received my first Italian muscle saw a 999f. Was pleasantly surprised to find it was never used. I've seen several pictures of these over the years but this is the only one I've seen with a full wrap bar. Anyone seen a full wrap on a 999f before? Unfortunately the Dawgs were never installed and the original owner didn't know where they were at so I'm in the market for a set.

I cut the correct size allen had bolt to length & slid a piece of the plastic/nylon tube suitable for bushings on the bolt shank dab of locktite to keep it tight
