Just an update and a thank you to this thread for the help given when I needed a piston for my John Deere CS56. I have been running it seasonally ever since putting that new piston in a horribly scored/ aluminum smeared cylinder, all the plating below the exhaust port missing entirely. The engine makes 155 lbs comp and runs with authority. The primer bulb split over winter, just degraded from years of use, so replaced that and the connecting lines and it is back in service, cuts all the firewood for my summer place on the lake from dropping the trees to bucking and even splitting/noodling a cord - two a season. Did all the cleanup after the last hurricane, been a good saw for this usage, thanks guys.
