Here is what I get for measurements;

238 con rod seems to be shorter but hard to measure as the 2 rods have different shoulder profiles.
Guess tonight I will swap pistons and try it myself.

i will go measure the 238 stuff shortly be sure that you measured from the base on the 238 and not from the cylinder that protrudes from the base of the cylinder. Also when i put the 242 cylinder on the 238 it would bolt on and turn over but the top cover would not bolt on because the cylinder was to tall an it had aroud .170 for squish and the piston would drop way down past the bottum of the exhaust port.
