i was just wondering what you would charge for one tree to be climbed and taken out? i was thinking about 500.00 per tree thats climbed and topped and stuff but i like to hear from all you pro's on here.before i make a decision on how much to charge for tree removal when i have to climb the tree.so lets hear what you have to say on how much to charge for one tree that has to be climbed.

you have got to be kidding! You sound like a customer that wants a price with out looking at the tree. It could be 100-5000 this bugs the #### out of me!

tell them 300 and see how much work you get!! let me know if this works!!! Glad I could help!!

If you have to ask you're in over your head. If you do a few too cheap you'll figure it out real fast on day 3 of a $500 job. Haha gotta start somewhere. Figure what you need for your time and equipment after you screw a few bids and you'll be good to go.

price yourself out of business

over on the ******** forum a newbie said he prices his take downs by pacing off a tree trunk, length on ground by width on ground, then charges $100/pace or foot. So he walks up to a tree and does the old "heel toe" to two sides of the tree. If he paces off a tree, lets say two paces by two paces, he charges $400. No thought to rigging, wires, house, access, understory plantings, etc.
I would have been out of business a long time ago pricing work this way. Oh yeah, they ripped him pretty good.

I seen that, that is one of the dumbest things I have heard of!

Your whole deal there needs moved to the homeowners forum. Of course this could be a troll post and in that case it needs moved to the asshat forum.

For your next question, ask which color chainsaw to buy...that works well in here too...

See what I do, is go ahead and cut the tree down and weigh it...two bucks a pound...if I don't have to climb...if I climb...well...ever buy caviar?
:hmm3grin2orange:

ok now i'm not trying to cause trouble or nothing. i'm just wondering what everyone else charges for a simple tree removale with out any hazards in the way.i usely charge 500.00 per tree and if he has over 3 trees i cut him or her a deal. like half price for the rest of the trees over 3.i'm sorry if i ruffled any feathers on here.so please forgive me for it.

Allright, allright, just give me a little hint then Ok? Is it a big tree, is it a bigger tree or is it the biggest tree ever? Wait! Is it a small tree...?

Seriously buddy, how is it that you are a full time tree trimmer and still have no idea what is going on? I mean it does indeed sound like you have no idea what is going on... anywhere. RUOK?

I'll bet that is why hookers have such bad attitudes, they are always asked " how much do you charge" and they have to go through the entire price list again and again. Lord help em if they get " why do you charge so much for a blow job"

With tree work there are too many variables to simply state a blanket price per tree.

When quoting, I'll determine how long the job is going to take and multiply it by, (what I've determined) my hourly rate. - around $150/hr for 2 men and a chipper. Additional $ for additional men.

You will find that different geographic areas bring different prices.

What you need to do is figure out what you need per hour to operate your business and charge accordingly. If you end up getting every job you quote in your area... raise your rate.

Welcome to AS. Use the search function, as a lot of questions you have will have been asked before. Grow some thick skin and you'll last. Best of luck.

I wonder if there is a hooker forum and there is a hooker on there now unsure what to charge:

H1: How much should I charge for a BJ?

H2 : figure it out for yourselve tramp

H3 : How big of a cock are you working on? Any hazzards?

H4: Is this for real? Don't feed the trolls

H1: I'm not a troll, I am just trying to figure out how much to charge for a BJ before I do it.

H5: I usually charge 50 bucks but if they have more for me to do I will throw them a deal and hope for a refferall.

H6: 50 bucks!? Hell I wouldn't get off the corner for that. I get 10 grand a mouthful.

H2 : 10k my ass honey, I saw you up on the blvd with those herpese on your lips, ain't nobody paying 10k for that.

How much to cut down a tree? Yeah, buddy, don't take it personally but you asked a very wrong question. How much to put out a fire?

Hold on a minute.I'll go ask my 15 yr old son .He has never been off the ground with a saw but,I think he has a better idea of the value of tree removals than you do.
But than again ,,he has worked with trees 3 summers now,,,,supervised,,,,around experienced treemen.
If you had even close to the time around trees that my boy has ,you wouldn't be asking dumbass questions like this.

I bit my tounge on the ''junk car'' tree, but this is rediculous now.

For your next post ,why don't you tell us what size, type and condition your saw is?
Then we can tell you how much to ask for it on CL.
