The post about stealing lawn signs kinda got me thinking about some online reviews on city search that were about a company I once worked for. All the reviews were great except one. This review ripped us a new one. Several other company's in the area also had strangely similar reviews. All except one company. Now I guess it is possible that we all really screwed up in the same fashion with different clients but after talking with some folks that worked with these other companies it was decided that the guys with no bad reviews were probably responsible for posting fake reviews. There is really no way to prove this and the reviews did not hurt anyone's business so it is what it is. Has anyone else had this sneaking feeling that your competition was playing foul online and if so did you do anything about it?

If I read 9 great reviews, and one bad one, I assume there are probably two sides to that story.
I would not be sure of either.
Can't you point out hte trend to citysearch, so they can look into it? If it is the same poster doing all those reviews, that hurts citysearch's credibility, so it seems they could be persuaded to weed out the bs.
o and how can you tell the reviews did not hurt anyone's business :computer2:
