Hi folks, anyone have an opinion on a Husqvarna 340 with a 16" bar? My intended use is seasonal firewood cutting and an occasional use when fixing fence around the farm. I bought one and havent used it yet, I'd like to here opinions of anyone thats used one or to see what to watchout for. Thanks, Dave.

like all saws........

keep it clean, fuel fresh and chain sharp and adjusted it should last you for many years.

abuse it,cut with a dull chain, let the clutch cover fill with crap and sit.........you can just buy a new one next time you need it.

First welcome to AS, great place lots of good folks. Now about the saw I just bought one for my nephew and most people on here said it was a good light duty saw for firewood use. It should be used on smaller stuff, check out the chainsaw forum on here and do a search. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I'm new to the Husqvarna line. We have always used Stihls in the past around the farm, but I thought it wouldnt hurt to try something new.
It will be used for mostly smaller wood and cutting trees from fence lines.

And I apologize for not asking this in the saw section, I didnt scroll down far enough to find it, wont happen again. THanks again guys, Dave.
