i wear mostly jeans and i go through them left and right its hard to find a pair of good workpants that fit me 40/30 carharts are always way to tight on my thighs so they are very uncomfortable for me i have never tried the arborwear ones though

Thought I posted earlier but cannot find, I ordered som custom saw pants at the WAA confereance for less the $100. 38 x 40 with extra in the thigh. Chaps are less then $80, think he orders through Labonneville.

I got the same problem with rugged work pants, cannot find them long enough and my x-weight lifteres thighs are too big for most of the highwaters.

Tim 40 x 30? Are yo about as tall as you are around?

het hey JPS be nice now really about a 38 but the 40 is much larger in the thighs so i buy them a little big but to answer your question honestly i am definately well on my way i should probably lose a few before some branch breaks with me on it LOL

I like the Carharts logger pants & genes. Of coures the loggers pants are nice under chaps. As for a climbs riging I can't say I don't climb. I'm to chicken I'll stay on the ground. I have did it in the past but I didn't like it much. I do look up to the ones who do. No pune intended. :p Randy

As soon as I got home today I tried the pants on, and I must say that I shall be ordering several more pairs in the future. They are very comfortable, and well built. Also when I got home I found that I have a lot of reading to do... lots of magazines and catalogs came in this past week.

These pants are very, very comfortable. They feel like they have plenty of room in the legs. While the fabric is stronger, and thicker they feel as though they give better air circulation. I think that they give plenty of room to move around and do whatever you need.

Pants

I have been wearing a pair of Carhardt unlined bib overalls over my chain saw pants this winter and have been pretty warm. Can say I climb at all (too old and too many previously broken bones in other falling pursuits), but the climbers with our company just wear chainsaw pants (husky brand) and seem seem to like them for that purpose.

For those who like arborwear pants

Hey guys, thought you might want to know that I bought a pair of those arborwear pants back in October at Paul Bunyan in Nelsonville,Ohio. I got them at their stand for $25.00. Might want to try that route, cause they are really worth it. Fit like a glove and wear on them is better than Levi's, I think anyways. I was hesitant at the time, but now I know this year when I go, I will stock up. If you haven't tried them I guarantee, you will like them. By the way does anyone know of any exhibitions coming up soon?

hey mike mass, the arborwear pants at Nelsonville were all 1/2 off because for some reason or other the inside tag was improperly marked. Who really cares you know? Especially for a great fittin pear of pants that wear real well. They had tons of them. They also had the shirts, belts and other accesories marked way down compared to catalogue pricing. It's worth it. At even $39 each for 3 that is still a heck of alot better than 50 each.

My father-in-law just bought me a couple pair of Wranglers that are lined with Thinsulate in exchange for helping him fix his barn roof. They're really comfortable and fairly thick so it seems like they'll wear well. It's gotta be pretty cold out to wear them though or you'll sweat like crazy. I can let you know where he got them and a price if anybody is interested.
