Hi folks, first timer here,

I have an Echo 280 and a Jonsered 450 both in need of a bit of an overhaul. I'll eventually have to buy new saws, but at one time or another in my escapades with these saws I promised each of them I would "do what I could" to keep them going. I'm looking for a online parts store or catalog that carries parts for older saws. It's not that I'm against local dealers, I just want to get an idea of what my pact with these two will cost w/o driving all over the county just to be told "we don't stock that". Getting ready for some orchard pruning and I have to make a decision soon. Put 'em out to pasture or put up and shut up. If it's against site policy to suggest links could you PM me?
Thanks in advance
-Andy

Hello there.
You will find there is a few with Jonsered parts, ask Motorsag, he is glad to help.
As for the Echo i do not know.

I'm down by Woodbury Commons
Headquarters of suburban sprawl.
Actually went to a guy in Warwick about the jonny. He seemed a little to busy for my kind of business (I'll admit I can't remember if he was a Jonsered dealer). He told my buddy he wouldn't work on an old gravely cause it was pre-killswitch. Another reason I don't like going to stores anymore. Where does Joe avg. go for parts these days? There used to be a guy on Kings HIghway going to Sugarloaf who'd find or fix anything for a fair price. Small engine shops have become more like Car dealerships.

Thanks Trimmed
I'm gonna Keep my eye on that one. I think the only diff is my saw has the chain brake (280EP). The echo needs a bit more work than the 450. Where are you in NY?

Thats the irony of the situation. I'm the numnuts that throws parts at thing till it's done. These guys would make a killing off me. Diagnostics are like soup and salad they just get in the way of a good steak...ie a lesson learned. An uneducated opinion, The 450 just needs a kill switch and fuel filter(maybe a cap) to be useful. It deserves a carb rebuild, recoil-n-rope, oil seals(?). The echo needs a bit more.. sprocket, clutch and above. Might be able to get that from "Trimmed's":) find though.
