friend calledand said the city cut down a pecan and the wood was free.i couldn't resist.i got a total of seven loads ,4 are firewood, 3 are millable.both my dolmars are down so i cant get the mill on these for a while,but they will wait,lol

The center looks rotted out on a few of them....still, for free wood!


I've milled quite a bit of Pecan, mostly 35+ inch stuff....those should cut like butter! Got yourself a few crotches there too!!! Big bonus for bowl blanks, if you decide to cut them like that?

In my younger years I'd of offered to bring my set-up down. Couple hour drive each way to Uncle moustache town for the 1st pecan I've milled takes too much out of these old bones. There's some pretty wood boards in there ! Boomer87 took pics & has 'em up in "milling....." title; impromptu GTG for milling. Me not smart enough to do the green link stuff.
