If you think you would get 250.00$ for that XL12, you better be listing it!!!!!

Even if I could get $250 ( and I am not sure someone wouldn't pay it) I can't part with that saw. Its been good to me for too long. :)

$16 for the saw, $25 for shipping though it actually cost $9 and took forever.

The ripoff is not in the price, but in the description. It's at best, a parts saw, and it was described as in good running condition. Many obvious problems were not mentioned.

That's called misrepresentation, to put it nicely.

If someone sells you a car for $200, and represents it as a good running vehicle, did you get ripped off? Not if the thing runs. But if it costs you $100 to have the junker towed away, yes, you got ripped off.

Well, better than a parts saw. $83 later and it runs and cuts fine.

Of course, I told the shop just to check it out and give me an estimate. Then I get a call saying it is finished...

Oh, well, I have a limbing saw now.

And you wind up paying thousands for a 20-somehting hp 30 year-old lawnmower!

Exactly. In my area, subdivisions are starting to multiply like locusts. Everyone that has a yard bigger than you can spit across has a Ford tractor. Give me a Farmall any day or even certain JDs.

When you go to antique tractor pulls, you don't see any Fords running with the big boys. Lots of Farmalls, JDs, MMs, and ACs.

Ok NOW Ive seen it all on Ebay! This guy is selling a 038 and this is "HIS" description.

THIS IS 038 STIHL COMMERCIAL SAW. IT DOES NOT START . I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT DOES NOT START.? IT COULD BE SOMETHING MINOR OR MAJOR . IN MY OPINION, THIS SAW NEED MINOR REPAIR . BUT PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

"BUT Please do not take my word for it?" What the hell! So I guess once you get the saw and after your local Stihl service man looks at it and says its an anchor or a really big paper weight we should take his word for it. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Probably because Ford wasn`t making any big tractors back then. The Ford 1720 and 1920 compacts are almost impossible to kill. Don`t know about the other ones.

There has to be something wrong here. Obviously, somebody has too much money and no idea what he/she is looking at or the whole thing is a scam.

Why are you guys groaning? Bugfart has the right idea. Here's a good opportunity for you to clear you garage of some junk and make some good money at the same time!! :)
