PFERD edge sharpener

Is this the perfered choice of tool for tuning your bar? Or do I need to take the bar into a shop and have it tuned? Rather learn to do it myself.

I also use that edge sharpener. or a belt sander set at 90 degrees

Vallorbe dresser is the one I use....

I use the Pferd tool to remove the side burrs, but find it laborious to take down a worn bar edge. If you do it often, maybe... but... a true grinder, belt sander with a 90 degree table or fixed disk sander work much better.

I'm on it. I'll put the belt sander in the vise and run the bar on the top of the bench and I'll have my right angle. No problem, thanks.

I use my combo belt/disc sander. Use the belt to remove the burrs, and the disc to dress the rails square. Fast and easy!
